Talking Pages is now mailing out audio books every 3 to 4 weeks on a mailing date that is listed on our web site. On that date, we mail all the books requested since the last mailing date (up to a total of 10 audio books checked out per user). Users do not have to request books all at one time – any books requested between mailings will be shipped on the next mailing date.
Next Mailing Date: August 8

My name is Michael Page, and I established Talking Pages online in the summer of 2003. One of my aunts suffers from macular degeneration and is no longer able to read books for pleasure. She enjoys receiving books on tape or CD as presents, but knows that this is an expensive alternative to books.

I developed Talking Pages because I wanted to help people with macular degeneration and other vision impairments. Because audio books are expensive, I have developed this non-profit web-based lending library to help make these books more readily available to those with vision problems.

Others are welcome to use this service to assist those with vision problems.

We ask that our users and visitors consider making a donation to offset the cost of the audio books. If you are interested in making a donation to TalkingPages - either your used audio books or cash - please visit our donations page.

Talking Pages Inc. is a tax-exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Code, section 501(c)(3). It is also registered with the State of New Jersey and operates from Watchung, New Jersey. (Note: As of July 2009, the library is moving to Greenwich, Connecticut.) Talking Pages is run entirely by volunteers and pays no salaries or rent.
